Spaying and neutering SAVES LIVES! Unwanted dogs, cats, puppies and kittens are abandoned or surrendered to animal shelters every day!
HSDC offers monthly spay/neuter clinics to all pet owners and provides transport to and from the clinic. The 2nd Wednesday of each month, a van from the Humane Society of the Piedmont in Greensboro comes to the adoption center for pet pick-up. The pets are taken to the clinic for surgery, monitored overnight and returned to the adoption center in Mocksville the next morning. The 4th Thursday of each month, a van from Central Spay Neuter Clinic comes to the adoption center to pick up and returns the animals on the same day at 5:30 p.m.
The Clinics offer low-cost pricing for surgery on both dogs and cats to all North Carolina residents. The clinic requires a current rabies vaccine for each animal. If documentation is not provided for each animal the clinic will vaccinate that animal for an additional charge.
Reservations and payment for the clinic transport must be made and paid no later than the Friday before the clinics. Call the adoption center at 336-751-5214 for more information.
